Meet with our outdoor expert who will guide you through a range of bushcraft techniques.
Bushcraft is the use and practice of skills to survive and thrive in a natural environment. These skills include knife skills, fire-lighting and shelter building.
During a typical Bushcraft session at the Discovery and Adventure Centre at Glen Dye, our trained and passionate instructor Rory will teach you the magic of lighting a fire without a match, how to transform a humble piece of wood into a tent peg or a mallet with a sharp whittling knife, and how to make a shelter if you get caught out in the forest. Whatever you whittle is yours to keep.

All of our classes take place at the heart of Glen Dye at our iconic Sawmill site which has been re-established into a brand new Discovery and Adventure Centre for our residential guests’ exclusive use.
