This semi-detached stone house forms part of a once-derelict Victorian barn, brought to life in vivid colour and comfort.

The house is modern but with a Victorian setting. It has a large kitchen/dining room, with a large sitting room. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer available. Number 4 steading cottage also offers two bathrooms, and can sleep seven across two king-size beds, one twin room, and one single. For larger groups, this is often booked with No 5 Steading cottage to benefit from use of the Smiddy and a larger garden area.

You will have access to a private yard which includes a brilliant Big Green Egg (possibly the best barbecue in the world) with outdoor table and chairs. If you venture fifty metres away down the woodland path you will find a private Swedish wood-fired hot tub ready for you to use.

You will have access to The Glen Dye Arms, our BYOB pub complete with a roaring log fire and a record player, and also to Garden Camp, our new shared recreation area. Here you will find some classic outdoor games, and a cozy indoor space with a wood-burning stove for rainy day activities. You can collect seasonal vegetables from the vegetable garden, subject to availability and the growing season, and eggs from our own hens. The Glen Dye General Stores is our tiny but well-stocked shop, where you will find local produce and excellent souvenirs as well as more prosaic stuff like dog poo bags etc.

If you haven’t already done so, don’t forget to book a private session in our state of the art electric sauna down at the Discovery and Adventure Centre. There’s a cold shower or cold water dip tanks there too, to complete the experience.
