Forest Bathing Sessions are best described as short walks in the forest, which include guided sensory activities, breathwork and sharing stories and experiences. This allows space for our mind and body to slow down, resisting the urge to enter into our fight or flight mode, and breathe in the fresh forest air.
Forest Bathing originates from the Japanese ‘Shinrin Yoku’ (Forest Bath / Shower) and is now an optional part of the Japanese Health Care System. Some of the benefits of forest bathing include reduced stress, improved sleep, lower blood pressure and generally improved mood. Forest Bathing at Glen Dye is especially unique, as the ancient woodland improves the quality of the air and therefore the quality of the benefits you receive from a session.
You will be given a recommended ‘kit’ list for clothing, and we will provide a sitting mat. Your session will end with a delicious cup of herbal tea.

All classes are designed to be equal parts challenging, engaging, rewarding and fun.
