The Discovery and Adventure Centre at Glen Dye

Come and explore a range of exciting courses for our residential guests and short taster sessions for all ages! To book a session, get in touch with us ahead of your stay.

The Centre is also open seven days a week for drop-ins and offers endless unsupervised activities, too, including the Adventure Trail and woodland sauna sessions (with cold dip tanks for the brave).

Beside the Seed Store, a beautiful red-roofed wooden structure, you’ll find warm changing rooms, and all guests are welcome to pop in to the Seed Store itself, all year round, to light the fire, relax, read and play games.

Remember to say hello to Colin and Donk (the donkeys), too!

The Location

The Discovery and Adventure Centre at Glen Dye is located at the heart of Glen Dye where the iconic Sawmill is.

The Sawmill was once functioning and powered entirely by water. This year it has been re-established into a brand new Discovery and Adventure Centre, trail and occasional restaurant for our residential guests’ exclusive use. Here you can find a sauna, bright orange cold water tanks, a kitchen area, changing rooms and lots more.

We have opened an Explorer Trail that will occupy all ages and abilities with challenging, interesting and surprising activities.

Group and Corporate Bookings

We host the very best corporate events at Glen Dye, from half days out of the office to entire weeks away from HQ. If you’re interested in bringing your team here we can tailor a session at the Discovery and Adventure Centre to you. We can create experiences to suit teams of between 2 and 40 people.

A nature retreat for the modern age

Glen Dye is the perfect setting for a holistic wilderness venture. With 15,000 acres of woodland, hill, moor and river, there’s forest bathing, tree-hugging, hiking and cold water therapy, aka wild swimming, on the doorstep. – Lucy Gillmore for National Geographic
