Description
This collection of botanical hanging casts were handmade using flowers and foliage gathered in the wilds of Glen Dye during Katy’s creative residency stay earlier in the year. Katy has given permanent form to these Glen Dye botanicals by preserving their impression in plaster. She begins by rolling the foraged botanicals into clay before carefully removing them, seed by seed and petal by petal. The imprinted botanical form has been preserved in plaster and some have been hand painted to finish. They all come ready to hang on velvet ribbon and are perfect for gifting, popping on your own Christmas tree, scattering along a festive table or attaching to your indoor wreath alongside festive foliage.

Katy Eccles
Imprint Casts was born from an increasing demand from Katy Eccles’ and her mother’s friends and family for their botanical tiles. Katy works from between a little barn studio in Fife and a small inner city studio in Edinburgh, where she lives.
We invited Katy to visit Glen Dye during 2024, during which she produced these beautiful, rooted-in-the-place casts.
