Things to See and Do

Crathes Castle
One of the many castles in Aberdeenshire worth visiting, Crathes has a beautiful walled garden and some lovely walks, as well as a wild wood adventure play for children
Grampian Transport Museum
A must for car enthusiasts young and old.
Paddleboarding at Knockburn Loch or Durris
Needs no introduction! Test your balancing skills and have fun in the water. All equipment provided.
Landmark Forest Adventure Park
Think giant slides, a suspended walkway through the forest and fun for everyone.
V&A Dundee
Built on the banks of the Tay, the gallery looks like the prow of a ship about to set sail. Inside, the clever design bathes the space in light. There is a permanent exhibition of fascinating Scottish art, and always a very interesting touring exhibition.

Red squirrels at Glen Dye
What’s your favourite British animal? If I had to choose one, it would probably be the squirrel.
